This workshop is the practical, hands-on follow-up to 'Adventurous Touch and Intimacy'.
This workshop (formerly 'Kink 102') is a follow-up from Adventurous Touch and Intimacy (formerly 'Kink 101') and it's for those who want more of a "hands-on the toys and tools" experience. You must attend Adventurous Touch and Intimacy (or the Curiosity workshop) first.
This workshop is the practical, hands-on follow-up to Adventurous Touch and Intimacy.
After revisiting group agreements, the day-long workshop is divided into four chunks: sensation play, restraint play (using full body wrapping), impact play (with a focus on spanking), and in the final quarter we will bring everything together into a scene. Each chunk will include theory, demonstration, and hands-on practice.
This kink intro workshop is focussed around information and learning goals rather than hedonistic experience, but of course both are possible. You are welcome to work with a chosen partner, or be matched with someone at the start of each practice.
Facilitator: Roger Butler
Version: We run two in-person versions:
Show Me The Toys is presented by Roger Butler, who’s been the principal facilitator and driving force behind Curious Creatures for nine years. Their training is in sexuality, facilitation, and counselling, and they’re easily one of Australia’s most prolific sexuality facilitators. Find out more about Rog and the team.
This is one of ~30 workshops offered by Curious Creatures (Australia’s biggest provider in the field). If you’re interested in this event you may want to check out our related in-person workshops: Adventurous Touch and Intimacy (the pre-requisite), Roleplay Your Way, A Curious Approach to Spanking, and the ‘Curiosity’ workshop and play-space.

Tickets
Our 'rounds' of tickets are really simple: they're all the same, except that some of them are cheaper, to encourage you to book in early (because it makes a huge difference to us in terms of planning). Round One tickets are similar to 'early bird' tickets, and make up almost half of all ticket sales. Round Two tickets, slightly more expensive than Round One, also make up almost half of all ticket sales. Round Three tickets are generally only there once we're close to being sold out, but can squeeze in a late-comer or two. If you're feeling generous, you can buy whatever ticket feels right, but in general, folks buy the cheapest ones available. Tickets range in price from $130 to $175, per person. Logistics LATE POLICY: Unless otherwise stated, workshops start at the advertised time, and doors will be locked ten minutes later. This is because late arrivals interrupt the dynamic of the group, and will miss crucial safety information. TICKETS ON DOOR?: All workshop tickets must be pre-purchased online, before the event. It is never possible to pay cash at the door; you will be turned away. More info at https://www.curiouscreatures.biz/faq.html |

WHO THIS IS FOR AND NOT FOR...
INTENSITY: Two or three out of four chillies - it's a light mood, but involves more obviously kinky play.
WHO FOR: Those that liked the feel of Adventurous Touch and Intimacy, and are ready for more of a "hands on the toys" experience. It is mandatory that participants have already done 'Adventurous Touch and Intimacy' (or the Curiosity workshop) first, so that we’re all on the same page around how communication and consent works in this context.
WHO NOT FOR: Not for anyone that hasn’t done Curious Creatures’ 'Adventurous Touch and Intimacy' (or our 'Curiosity' workshop).
WHAT EXERCISES / ACTIVITIES?: As described above.
WILL THERE BE PARTNER WORK?: Yes.
HOW WILL PARTNERING BE DONE?: People that arrive together are welcome to work exclusively with each other. People that arrive as singles will be partnered by the facilitator using a random number system, where people that identify as women will be paired with people that identify as men.
CAN YOU WORK WITH AN EXISTING PARTNER / FRIEND?: Yes.
NUDITY / SEXUAL CONTENT: Some people will probably explore some level of undress for some activities; this may include full nudity. The workshop is about sex and sexual expression, which may include people in states of arousal. You don’t need to get naked.
COMMITMENT: You may sit out of any activity you don't want to participate in, or do it only to the level that's right for you.
RATIO EXPERIENTIAL / THEORETICAL: 67% practical, 33% theory.
BRING: Snacks, water bottle.
WEAR: Whatever you're comfortable in.

"Fantastic. I liked the focus on practice, and the ability to ask as many questions as needed before and during practice was wonderful. I didn't like that it ended! Soooo Good. Kink 103 please!"

"Overall, i really enjoyed it. Being completely new to a work shop for these sort of things, it was good to learn techniques and have experiences in a safe environment like this, and most importantly, i felt safe. I can't really think about anything i didn't like!"

"What we have learned in the 2 Kink workshops will resonate with us for the rest of our lives and has helped us find ways to explore things that we'd never been able to face in almost 30 years of marriage. The next 30 years look pretty damn exciting!!"

•
"This was an accessible and well-paced introduction and exploration of things I had been curious about. In a fun and inclusive environment I was able to explore and experiment with toys and techniques and discover what I liked, and what I didn't. I now feel more confident in asking for what I want and what I want to explore more!"
•
"Ive lost count of how many Curious Creatures workshops Ive done now, and I plan to do a lot more."
